Um… I’m just a kid and all(well, I’ll be 12 next Friday, so I guess the term ‘kid’ doesn’t really apply to me) and I LOVE reading and writing. I actually have a writing blog. I’m still typing up some of my stories and everything, and I don’t expect you to visit it, but why do adults get all the credit? I LOVE to write, and I often have people compliment my work. So why don’t people recognize that adults aren’t the only good writers out there. We( other children and myself) ARE the future. Yet the adults get ALL the credit. What ever happened to the statement, ‘we are all eqauls’ ? I haven’t heard THAT excuse in a while. And I know I probably sound kind of bitter, but seriously, can you blame me? We kids get NO recognition. Whatsoever. It’s not right. :(

    Hi Starheart,

I’d love to visit your blog – please leave a link. I’m all for encouraging young people to write – this is the best age to start and you seem to have begun well. I used to be a mentor for young writers and I remember the enthusiasm from my teens. There are quite a few publications that publish writing by young people. If you get in touch, I’d be happy to give you some pointers/links.

    Good luck with your writing.
