Hi, Chryselle! I found your site by accident when someone said my name and article link was on it. I read about your query incident w/the newspaper editor. I encourage to speak to an attorney who specializes in publication. Usually they don’t charge for a brief consultation, and you may be surprised at how reasonable it would for him/her to send a letter to the editor. at least he’ll advice you about the law in the case, and I think they may be stretching the meaning about “editing”. I may be mistaken, but this seems to me to be more than unethical, and you may have rights violated that could bring you more than they offered. I encourage you not to let this slide. I know it may be a small financial expense, but you will garner something much more priceless: self-respect!
