Keeping track of your Favourites has never been simpler. If you use del.icio.us, you’ll know what I mean.
With one fell swoop (getting all teary eyed here), this simple toolbar has revolutionised my previously haphazard organisation. Not only can I have all my Favourite blogs, websites and random links in one place and easily accessible, but more importantly, I can break them down into categories for easy retrieval.
Still not sold?
Take a look at my del.icio.us account. See how systematic it is? Any time I want to locate something, I just go to the category it is most likely to be under. If I can’t find anything, there’s always the ‘Search’ option, but I’ve rarely had to use it.
Such detailed categorising may seem anal to you, but if you’re a busy writer who also has a day job, then you need all the help you can get.
If you find something of interest while you’re looking through my account, feel free to ‘tag’ it for yourself. That’s the whole point of having an online bookmarking system – sharing with the people to whom it makes a difference to.
Happy tagging. If you are a del.icio.us user, let me know what your experiences are. Do you use it as much as I do?
